Posting Guidelines
The MSGA website is provided for a means of communication and endorsement of geocaching in Mississippi and surrounding areas. The website is available for people of all ages and backgrounds, and therefore we want to maintain a family friendly atmosphere. Let’s keep it clean here folks!
- The whole world can see what is posted in the forums. There is no restriction on who can read the public forums here, though only registered members can post.
- All avatars, posts, links, pictures, etc should be acceptable for the general public including children. (in other words keep it rated G, please!)
- Bashing of other members on this site is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. If you have a grievance with another member, send them a private message or email.
- Try to stay on topic. We do acknowledge at times this is unavoidable, but please attempt to stay on topic. If a topic gets completely out of control, the thread is subject to being split or closed.
- If you have an off-site issue with another user, leave the issue off-site. Period.
The MSGA moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any posts, links, pictures, avatars, etc, they deem inappropriate with or without notice to the user. If a user repeatedly disregards the posting guidelines their posting privileges may be restricted or revoked, with or without warning.
A few of the actions that will raise a red flag with the website staff include reposting deleted links or content, adult oriented material, posting of private information, harassment of users or website staff, dragging personal issues into the public forums, etc. You get the idea.
These rules are basic, common sense stuff. If a particular action isn't listed here, it still falls under the "play nice" rule.
